The Brief – The Spectator’s Annual Summer Garden Party
The Spectator is a true British institution; a magazine which has covered politics, culture and current affairs since its first weekly publication in 1828. It’s a huge honour to be asked to work alongside an organisation such as this. Every year, their annual summer party is held at their offices in Westminster in London. It’s an event organised for both their staff and the people they work with.
With over 200 guests expected, they’d invited their clients, and sometimes MPs attend too, proving just how prestigious an occasion this is. Knowing our menus so well, our client decided on our most popular offering – our traditional hog roast.
The Results – A Delicious Summer Hog Roast
When choosing the right menu for guests, our client opted for a full hog roast, as well as some vegetarian and vegan options to cater for all diets. This was accompanied by vibrant salads which go down a treat thanks to the combination of our delicious flavours and the glorious summer weather. The event was held as a garden party at their offices, so outdoor hog roast catering was the ideal choice, creating a fantastic atmosphere with delicious sights and aromas coming from our roaster.
The hog roast, veggie options and sides were served from a food station so that attendees could feel free to eat when they wanted. This is a great idea when you want to keep things informal, helping guests to relax and mingle without feeling tied down by a formal sit-down meal.
